Antonina Shevchenko

Antonina is a Kyrgyzstani-Peruvian Muay Thai fighter, mixed martial artist, and competing in the UFC flyweight division. She's older than her fellow UFC Fighter and the former UFC Flyweight Champion Valentina Shevchenko. Antonina Shevchenko started her combat sports journey with a Muay Thai Kickboxer and debuted at the IFMA World Championship Tournament 2003 Shevchenko won the tournament and defeated Suzane Miller in the finals by a unanimous decision. Antonina followed it up and took home a silver medal in 2007, a bronze award in 2008 and a gold award in 2011 and the 2016 IFMA Amateur Muay Thai World Champion. Antonia's professional journey began in 2003. She won in 2012 her the WKC K-1 Light Welterweight World Championship, in 2016, she won the Lion Fight Lightweight Championship and in 2016 the WMC World Championships. Antonina's final fight was with Isa Tidblad Keskikangas at Phoenix Fighting Championship. She won by a an unanimous vote. Antonina shevchenko recorded her first professional MMA fight in 2002, against Anara bayanova in the KFK Championship in Kyrgystan. She won via second-round TKO after which she won 2 additional fights at WXF X-Impact World Championships to earn a 3-0 record. Shevchenko stopped fighting to focus on kickboxing. Shevchenko returned against Anissahaddaoui in Phoenix FC 3. Shevchenko was able to defeat Anissa by a majority vote and beat Valerie Domergue on Phoenix FC 4 in the year 2017. The promotion ended in 2018 and joined Dana White's Contender Series in 2018. Shevchenko took on Jaimelene Nievera at Dana White's Tuesday Night Contender Series 11. Antonina demonstrated her striking prowess by TKOing Nievera with knees. Antonina took an UFC deal following her win. Antonina Shychenko made her debut in the UFC at the Heavy Hitters event of TUF finals against Ji Yeon Kim. Shevchenko beat Roxanne Modeafferi by an unanimous decision. But, she was unable to win her next bout due to the split decision. Antonina bounced right back after the defeat and beat Lucie Pudddilova at UFC on ESPN Covington-Lawler by rear-naked submissions in the 2nd round. This fight earned Antonina the prize of Fight of The Night. Shevchenko lost 1-2 during her subsequent three bouts she lost to Ariane Lipski before falling to Katlyn Chookagian, and Andrea Lee. Antonina was defeated by Casey O'Neill by second-round TKO at UFC Fight Night Santos Walker.
