Andressa Urach, then 15 years of age, was with Tiago Costa at the age of 15 and began dating Tiago. After three months of dating, they went to live together in his house. The couple had an only child, Arthur Urach Costa born on May 19 2005 After marital differences the couple separated in 2008, after six years of being together. Andressa Urach moved into her mother's house to live with her one child. She lost her job after six months and made the decision to relocate the son of hers to Sao Paulo to seek a new start in life. Andressa Urach claims in her book Morri para Viver that she was sexually abused between the ages of 2 and 8 by her foster grandpa. Andressa Urach was able to get free of the abuse after her foster grandmother caught her in the act. Andressa then returned home to her mom, and she was not aware that she was abused up until Andressa created her own book. The woman's interviews showed that the task was unattainable for her prior to her conversion. The idea of forgiveness for her victim was something she believed to be impossible to achieve. It was one of my most difficult choices I've made. I reached out to the person who physically assaulted me. It wasn't an easy task to take on. After several prayer and fasting vows, i called him to say I was sorry and even pleaded for forgiveness. All I did was request forgiveness. Mariste Urach discusses in an interview for Globo the emotions she experienced at first hearing about the abuse that her daughter endured. Urach went to the city in Rio Grande do Sul where the pedophile was a resident to seek the revenge.
